Converted on 2026-09-11 with Blender 4.5.9:
- Preserved the complete standing figure, face, hands, robe, chest symbol, offering and lotus base.
- Evaluated the original mirror/subdivision/array modifiers; used subdivision level 2 for the body and face.
- Baked all 480 hair-curl instances. Removed only the original studio backdrop, light plane and camera from the export.
- Normalized height to 7.5 scene units above a 0.6-unit base; exported Y-up glTF with smooth normals.
- Combined meshes into one material primitive and Draco-compressed the geometry (16-bit positions, 12-bit normals).
- Final asset: 843,776 triangles, 444,616 exported vertices, approximately 1.9 MB. Draco quantization introduces a small bounded coordinate approximation; it does not remove triangles.
- Applied a satin gold PBR material and studio reflections in the webpage. This model has no photographic texture requirement.

The source ZIP is retained unchanged in the project root. The scene preview `img/common/amitabha-preview.png` depicts this CC0 asset, replacing the prior museum scan preview.
The previously used museum model remains in `model/buddha-preaching/` with its original license, but is no longer loaded or shown by this page.
